Welcome to The Anzatan Commonwealth

The New Anzat Order is a Rim government that organizes itself as a commonwealth, a government created to secure the welfare of its people. It is comprised of a variety of different races, from all corners of the known Galaxy. The capital city of the Order is New Belmont, located on the desert world of Anzat in the New Anzat Sector. The Order seeks a different path to the rest, centered on its own affairs: organizing and maintaining a strong, centralized, sovereign government with its focus on the Anzatan people.
After thousands of years of turmoil, a so-called prophet known only as Jerriko created a theocratic state called the Anzat Order. Through a fusion of religion and government, long before the days of the Empire and the Republic, the Anzat Order was a dominant galactic power in what is now known as the Inner Rim.
Through collectivism and a strong navy, the Anzat Order was a principal actor in the Rim. Its people were highly spiritual believing in many different faiths. The people were loyal to the Rosvzi Al’Nadiz, or Minister of the People. The Al’Nadiz Dynasty lasted hundreds of years. At the time, all leaders of the AO were Anzati, who live hundreds of years themselves and were the natural inhabitants of the planet Anzat. However, even through their years of space travel and colonization, the AO never discovered further sentient life, not until approximately 600 years before the current era.
The decline of the Anzat Order came around the time of the great battles of the Jedi and Sith, known as the New Sith Wars. It is widely believed that while the old Order knew nothing of the outside, the ruling Dynastic Minister was killed by an assassin who was dispatched by the Sith, making it seem the Minister was elimited by one loyal to elements of the nobility who wished to strengthen aristocratic controls. A civil war ensued.
The Anzati Noble Dominion Fleet defeated the Anzati Civil Fleet at the battle of Anoat. Chaos shortly followed. The nobility regained brief control of the population, but their power degenerated due to clergy encouraging the people to rise up against the enemies that toppled the theocracy. The people rose up against the aristocracy and many were exiled or executed.
Millenia later, the New Anzat Order was founded by an Anzati noble-turned- priest named Dunkler Klerus. After a grand beginning, the NAO declined after a series of poor rulers, with a few bright spots in its history.
Yarbles, a believer in the words of Jerriko and his "collectivist" view and Commander-in-Chief of the New Anzat Order Army, lead what is now called the Panaceas Revolution. He claimed the nobility, the ruling Barons, were liquidating the assets of the Order to gain liquid credits. It was a one week conflict, which ended in a quick battle and the expulsion of the nobility.
Yarbles became the first Prime Minister of the New Anzat Order and established the collective views held by the defunct Anzat Order. He focused on building a naval force and began a a building project that cumulated in numerous palaces spread across the Order's space. He began the long laborious process of developing the economy of Anzat, using his contacts within the now fallen Dark Empire to design what many would consider some of the ugliest, most poorly designed cities in existence.
When Yarbles stepped down, Minister Malakai Brooks became leader of the Order. His leadership was marked by betrayal and theft.
During his tenure as Prime Minister of the Order, Prime Minister Brooks took a leave of absence from his post to visit the Unknown Regions of space. It was decided among the New Anzat Order government, and agreed upon that the Prime Minister would step down from his position, and become the Minister of Defense upon his return.
Prime Minister Sicyon took over as leader of the New Anzat Order. Picking up from where Minister Brooks left off, he rebuilt the New Anzat Order. His strong sense of leadership lead the New Anzat Order to a new age, creating greater economic stability and military deployment without neglecting the citizens of Anzatan space, continually increasing government expenditure to improve living conditions inside the Order's borders, creating unquestionable morale and support for the Government among its people. However, during his tenure as Prime Minister, Sicyon became ill and passed away at his home.
This unfortunate event led to the State to disarray as no deputy was in place to continue leadership of the Order in case of such a tragedy. As such, campaigns were held to determine the new leader of the New Anzat Order. Minister of Defense, Malakai Brooks who had returned from the Unknown Regions, stated his intentions to regain leadership of the Order, as did Minister of the Exterior, Tigris Ninx. The Anzatan leadership decided it was best that Tigris Ninx be the leader of the Order. His short tenure stabilized the Order's economy, but his role as leader didn't last long as he stepped down from the position and departed the Order's space soon after.
Jeroen Veers was appointed leader soon after. Having a strong military background, government funds were focused more on military strength instead of on civilian conditions and luxuries. It was discovered that Prime Minister Veers was, in secret, beginning to pillage the treasury and attempt to sell off the Order's fleets to bolster his own credit account. He was removed from power following an armed insurrection led by Minister of Defense Brooks, with him returning as as Prime Minister to. However the Prime Minister was growing aged and senile, unable to handle the workload of Prime Minister. He was able to restore civilian law and order, but soon after retired and was replaced by Admiral of the Navy, Perrin Wolfstar.
Prime Minister Wolfstar was a military man, not a politician, and in so doing, focused on military campaigns and began to neglect his government duties and relations with foreign governments. In so doing, the long standing relationship between the New Anzat Order and the Hapes Consortium was broken, and both governments parted ways, as well as increased tensions between the New Anzat Order and the Galactic Empire caused great pain and suffering to citizens of the New Anzat Order as many men and women lost their lives in conflict. Finally realizing that it was best if he was not Prime Minister, he abdicated from the office and handed leadership of the Order to Admiral Enzo Delaere.
Self serving and treacherous, Admiral Delaere and his staff plundered the Order, transferring the ownership of the government and its resources over to the Galactic Empire. Many military officers and civilians were hunted down and slaughtered under the Prime Minister's regime, and the Order was plunged into chaos. Emperor Vodo Bonias placed Gabriella Storm into the ancient throne of Anzat, officially making the New Anzat Order a puppet government for the Galactic Empire. Brutally she subjugated the Anzatan people, slaughtering all who opposed her reign. Thus, slavery increased and millions of once prosperous citizens were placed below the poverty line. However, she was disgraced when implicated in an Eidolan plot that resulted in one of the many dissolutions of an Imperial medical corporation, and fled known space.
Emperor Vodo Bonias then placed Moff Vlademar von Ismay III, youngest legitimate son of the late Victor von Ismay as Prime Minister of the New Anzat Order. He ruled with a fair and loyal hand until continual torments and orders to continue the wave of slaughter put forth by Gabrielle Storm from the Galactic Empire, Vlademar, encouraged by his staff and family, broke away from the Empire, abandoning the title of Moff and embracing the mantle of Chancellor.
Due to stress and unknown external pressures, Vlademar stepped down, being replaced by his older brother, Wilhelm. The then-Lord Protector took the position of Chancellor and began expanding the military and political boundaries of the New Anzat Order. As Wilhelm ruled the order, his younger brother Vlademar who had stepped down from the Order, had secretly resumed his ties with the Galactic Empire and hatched a plot to regain the Empire its puppet government. Resulting in conflict, the forces of Vlademar and Wilhelm fought each other, resulting in the death of Vlademar and the destruction of the Imperial insurgents in the Anzati Government. Wilhelm continued to successfully rule for one of the grandest ages in the history of the New Anzat Order, but one day he suddenly stepped down, citing a desire to spend time with his young daughter.
Wilhelm's brother, Owen von Ismay, was appointed to the position of Regent after Wilhelm departed. Although Wilhelm returned shortly after he left, he graciously decided to take the position of second-in-command and the title of Chancellor. This position would soon be short lived as hostilities between Owen and Wilhelm arose, and forced Wilhelm to depart the Order due to increased morale instability. Disappointed with his brothers leadership, Wilhelm returned and called for the first democratic election in the government's history, where the Anzatan people finally got the chance to voice their opinions as to who should lead the Anzat Government. Long campaigns were scheduled and run, the Anzatan people heard debates by both parties and the first democratic elections were held, stabilizing the New Order as a democratic nation. The results of the election were published, and Wilhelm von Ismay had successfully won the election.
Anzatan Commonwealth is currently ruled by Queen Keishi I. | |
