Middlemen
Despite the many good and honest people in this galaxy, there are also many nefarious beings looking for any opportunity to steal your hard earned credits. In order to avoid this, we have created a short list of tips to help reduce your chances of being stolen from, and also included the shortlist of reputable and insured middlemen the Anzatan Commonwealth prefers to use.
Tips for Traders
- ALWAYS use a mutually reputable middleman (see below)
- Ensure you ask the middleman for permission before sending assets, specify all terms with the middleman, and thank them afterwards. They are using their valuable free time to perform a service.
- When buying assets check with the seller that the goods are not sub-standard (unless of course you have been forewarned):
- Facilities: Substandard if it is not powered, making a loss, under construction, or damaged. Closed facilities, with no operator / manager, and no income history are a cause for concern.
- Ships / Droids / Vehicles: Substandard if docked, damaged, under construction, or travelling.
- NPCs: Substandard if docked, travelling, or under arrest.
- Cities: Substandard if they are not empty.
- Ensure that you both understand the terms of the deal before you finalise it.
- If the trade is impossible to use a middleman for (e.g. a service) make sure you research the other party before you send credits. Sending credits up front is always risky, so ensure you never do it with credits you cannot afford to lose.
